Kid’s Day

Each year, the Redford Commission on Youth and Families hosts a Kids Day during the Redford Township Festival, a fun-filled event that brings joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to children and families throughout the community. Designed to be a celebration of youth and togetherness, Kids Day offers an exciting array of activities that appeal to kids of all ages — from energetic bounce houses to hands-on craft stations and everything in between. It’s a day where imaginations run wild, friendships are formed, and smiles are everywhere.

One of the highlights of Kids Day is the Pony rides and interactive petting zoo, where children can get up close with friendly animals, learn about them, and even feed them. It’s an engaging experience that blends fun with education and encourages a love for animals and nature. Nearby, the colorful bounce houses are always a hit, with kids lining up for a chance to jump, slide, and play in a safe, supervised environment.

Creative expression is also front and center at the craft making stations, where kids can paint, glue, and design their own keepsakes to take home. Alongside the crafts, there are classic games, face painting, and prize giveaways that keep the excitement going throughout the day. Volunteers from Redford Commission on Youth and Families work tirelessly to ensure each child feels welcome, included, and inspired to explore and have fun.

More than just a day of play, Kids Day reflects the heart of the Redford Commission on Youth and Families mission — to support, uplift, and create meaningful experiences for youth in the community. It’s an event where families connect, children thrive, and community bonds are strengthened. As always, the Redford Commission on Youth and Families is deeply grateful to the many volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who make Kids Day possible year after year. We can’t wait to see even more smiling faces at the next one!
